ColorMarq
System
Overview
ColorMarq ID logic is
applied to the book's catalog index code, yielding an ensemble of horizontal
color bars, a "color bar code", on each label. The color bars are aligned on the label according to
the catalog index code of each particular book, forming horizontal color bands
when books are on the shelf. It's easy to recognize, when a continuous color
band is interrupted, that a book is out of place. Whether a book is
misplaced only a slight distance from its correct order location or has been inadvertently moved
across the library, it is quickly recognized during a visual scan of the shelf,
like seeing an apple in a bowl of oranges. |

ColorMarq interacts with the library's classification logic via
automated collection data record access,
creating identifying labels that are a visual representation of catalog order when books are on the library shelves.
Stack management
is simplified and more efficient in terms of monetary and human resources.
